You will be aware that an email has been sent to all UWS staff today (11 November 2014) confirming that the University intends to send individual letters to the homes of all AT&S staff over the next week.
It is important to note that while UWS Branch of UNISON have not seen the content of this letter, we believe the purpose of the letter is to force UNISON members (and all other staff) individually into agreeing to the Terms and Conditions changes.
The Branch elected to involve full-time UNISON officials in the University’s discussions with trade unions and we remain unconvinced that there is a business need for these changes which will have a significant effect on colleagues’ working patterns and substantial negative financial impact for many in ICT, Library and Estates Management. The branch committee will meet soon to discuss our next steps in this matter.
